FSC-SWO 2026 Event Calendar
The FSC-SWO recently approved its calendar of events for 2026. Check the link for Executive Committee and membership meeting dates. Executive Committee meetings occur on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00-10:00 am in Silverton. Membership meetings are held quarterly. Meeting dates are subject to change.

Congratulations, Soapbox Media!
The FSC-SWO would like to congratulate Soapbox Media on winning several awards from the Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists! Joe Simon won Feature Photography Portfolio. David Holthaus won Best Overall Freelance Reporter. The First Suburbs - Beyond Borders article series won Best Continuing Coverage or Series. Thank you to Joe, David, Patrice Watson, and Soapbox Media for their wonderful work!
FSC-SWO Sept. Membership Meeting
The FSC-SWO hosted a panel for the September 29, 2025 Membership Meeting. Thank you to Connor Moreton, Councilperson for the Village of St. Bernard, and Ziah Huett, Assistant Director for the Center for Local Government, for leading discussion. Also a thank you to Meagan Guthrie, Abby Fritsch, and Commissioner Denise Driehaus for attending to discuss opioid litigation funds.

FSC-SWO Receives Federal Grant!
FSC-SWO was the lead applicant for the Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods (RCN) grant. Thanks to the Hamilton County Planning + Development Community Planning team, the county has received over $300,000 for a planning study to evaluate east-west connectivity near I-75.
